Village Bakers Social Events

Village Bakers is not just about our monthly Sunday Socials, we also arrange various social events throughout the year. Weather its celebrating our birthday or getting dressed up for Halloween, its great to get the group together to share a few drinks, and leave the baking at home for a night out.

Halloween Drinks Social

Camping it up isn’t just for the living, Halloween is the time the Village Bakers get out their pumpkins, witches spells and raise the dead. Our drinks event has taken place in gay village venues, involving a competition for the best dressed and spooky Halloween cocktails for all.

Christmas Dinner

During December the Village Bakers put our rolling pins down, and take time off from baking to celebrate the year together. Every year we take over a local restaurant to enjoy a slap up Christmas Dinner together, the year is celebrated with mince pies, Christmas pudding, turkey and a few glasses of bubbly.

Village Bakers Birthday

Village Bakers Birthday is always a special event in the year. Taking place on our November Sunday Social Meeting, the event is a celebration of all things Village Bakers.  Our birthday party always involves plenty of cake and party food, plus a whole heap of party games with plenty of prizes to be won.

Local Pride Events

During the year Village Bakers attends a number of local pride events to promote the group, and support our community. The Village Bakers has hosted a community stall at Whalley Range Pride, Bolton Pride, Stockport Pride, Tameside Pride and Didsbury Pride. These events are supported by our members as a social event and also a way to promote the group. The group has also supported Salford Pride and Manchester Pride as key social events on our calendar.
